Uhlenhake, Quitno, Frerking win event at Sunflower Hills Golf Club

Thanks to Jeff Johnson, his staff, and the patrons at Sunflower Hills for welcoming the Midwest Junior Golf Tour to their course May 4 - 5 for our most recent tournament of the Spring season.  Congratulations to the players and spectators for enduring unseasonably cold temperatures and light rain on Saturday.  Hopefully, our final event of the season at Liberty Hills Country Club in 2 weeks will offer some warm spring weather.

Cade Uhlenhake (Overland Park, KS) shot 2 impressive rounds at even-par 72 to win the boys 10-11 age division and claim Saturday medalist honors with the low round for both days.  This is Cade's third win of the season.  Congratulations, Cade, for an awesome tournament.  Tate Herrenbruck (Salina, KS) took home the second place trophy.

John Quitno (Nevada, MO) and Parker Beal (Topeka, KS) tied for first place in the boys 12-14 age division for the second tournament in a row.  John won the two-hole playoff and took home the first place trophy, leaving Parker with second place.  There was also a tie for third place between Grant Herrenbruck (Salina, KS) and Nick Beardslee (Leawood, KS).  Grant won the scorecard playoff, taking home the third place trophy and Nick rounded out the trophies with fourth place.

There was a tie for first place between Madison Frerking (Blue Springs, MO) and Jordan Rehkow (Lee's Summit, Mo). A one-hole playoff resulted in first place for Madison and second place for Jordan.  Olivia Laub (Stillwell, KS), one of our eighth graders playing in the high school division, claimed the third place trophy.  Ashley Childers (Mt. Vernon, MO) took home the fourth place trophy. And, Kaleigh Ashen (Overland Park, KS) rounded out the trophies in this age division with fifth place.
